The Social Services Department is responsible for measures, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and the Health and Medical Services Act, and are to implement measures regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by putting the individual at the center to meet the individual's needs. The assignment involves a strong customer focus and a service-oriented attitude.

Provider LSS and Social Psychiatry, with just over 350 permanent employees, is a provider activity directed towards children, young people, and adults. We are governed, among other things, by the LSS Act, SoL (Social Services Act), and HSL (Health and Medical Services Act) and have executive responsibility for measures regulated by these laws. The activity is characterized by putting the individual at the center and collaborating to meet the individual's needs. The activity has a strong customer focus, a good service attitude, and provides opportunities for cross-boundary work that is both inspiring and conducive to competence development.

Job Description

Relief service is a measure within LSS aimed at relieving relatives or caregivers in the care/nursing of a person with a disability. The measure is performed in the home or immediate environment.

In the first assignment, the role involves caring for a younger child of approximately 6 years old. The child needs help and support with most aspects of daily life and requires constant supervision to avoid exposing themselves to risks. In this assignment, it is important that you are a calm and responsible person, but also that you have the physical prerequisites to keep up with the child in various activities and play. It also includes supporting and helping with personal hygiene, such as toilet visits. The working hours are primarily scheduled for weekends. The workplace is in Österstad. Since bus connections are limited, having access to a car is an advantage for this assignment.

We are also looking for relief staff for other relief cases. In these assignments, it is of great importance to be calm, responsible, and to have the physical prerequisites to be flexible during play and activities. The assignment also includes helping and supporting with personal hygiene, such as toilet visits. The working hours are primarily scheduled for weekends but also include weekday evenings.

Qualifications

It is positive if you have healthcare and care education or childcare education, but it is not a requirement.

As a person, you are calm, patient, and self-assured. You have the ability to separate facts from personality and can feel secure even in uncertain situations.
