The Family Court operates jointly between the municipalities, meaning we provide services to both Järfälla and Upplands-Bro municipalities. Approximately 110,000 people live in our catchment area. Both municipalities are in an expansion phase, and the population is expected to increase significantly in the coming years. Today, we are a well-functioning work group consisting of seven family law secretaries and one unit manager. Our ambition is to be flexible and able to meet families and individuals who need our help at an early stage. From autumn 2026, the Family Court will be organizationally placed together with the reception unit for children and young people. In connection with this change, we are expanding the unit with a Team Leader.

The Family Court is located near the station in Jakobsberg, approximately 20 minutes from Stockholm Central Station, with good transport connections in all directions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Team Leader, you will be an important part of our work group. You will have an operational and leadership role where you support family home secretaries, ensure legally secure handling of custody and visitation cases, and relieve the unit manager. You are also responsible for driving development together with the case handlers at the unit.

Together with the rest of the team, you are responsible for carrying out all standard family law tasks directed towards our two commission municipalities. This includes investigations of parenthood, adoption cases, information/investigations to the court in custody, residence, and visitation cases, as well as cooperation talks with separated parents. The unit is also responsible for the enforcement of court decisions regarding visitation support.

An important task is to give advice and information to citizens, as well as to be experts in family law matters in relation to other social services and collaboration partners. Currently, we have a special focus on how we can work preventively to meet the intentions of the new Social Services Act. Children's right to information is also something we value highly and work actively with.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in Social Work (Socionom) with several years of experience within the Family Law area is required.
We would prefer that you have experience in leadership and feel confident in the leadership role.
