Job Description
The native language teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in the subject of native language based on current steering documents. The work includes assessing and documenting the individual student's needs, knowledge, and abilities.
The role as a study guide in native language involves supporting students in their development and learning in close collaboration with other school staff. The work involves placement at several different schools during a work week and travel between schools within the municipality. The assignment requires collaboration with principals and staff at the schools. The work also includes collaborating and developing the work together with colleagues in the native language unit.
The teaching group holds pedagogical conferences and study days together. You also have daily contact with school staff. The position requires that you have good language and IT skills and that you can integrate digital technology into teaching.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who master German and Swedish in the school's various subjects and teaching situations. You structure and organize the work based on steering documents and analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.
It is highly meritorious if you, as an applicant, are qualified to teach native language through a Swedish teacher education or a validated teacher education.
In the event of an employment, a language test may be conducted to assess your knowledge of the Swedish language. Experience working with digital learning tools is necessary to succeed in the assignment.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
To begin working in preschool, school, after-school centers, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the National Police Board at www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se).
Anyone who has not shown an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, engaged, or received in the activity according to current legal requirements.
