The Ambulance Care unit at Skaraborg Hospital operates 24/7, 365 days a year. We work continuously to improve patient safety, medical quality, accessibility, and create a work environment where our employees thrive. Ambulance Care in Skaraborg consists of six operational units: Skövde, Mölltorp, Mariestad/Hova, Skara, Falköping/Tidaholm, and Lidköping/Vara. At each unit, we strive to constantly improve our professional interaction between employees, patients, and relatives. Here, all efforts and employees are equally important for the overall operation to function as well as possible. We have a good spirit in our work groups and value the safe and open climate that prevails.

The Ambulance Support Unit is a small unit with 8 positions, tasked with supporting all parts of the Ambulance Operations in Skaraborg. We collaborate closely with the Emergency Department at SkaS as well as other ambulance operations in the Region of Västra Götaland (VGR).

The unit consists of an Education Manager, Operations and Vehicle Technician, Staffing Coordinator, and Healthcare Administrative Secretary. We work with vehicles/operations, technology, medical technology, IT, staffing, and education, both on-site and digitally. We provide significant support to the unit managers and employees of the operations. We are now looking for an Education Manager for the unit. Are you interested in being part of a overarching unit, helping to develop ambulance care, working with competence-enhancing measures, passionate about education and onboarding, and willing to work both independently and in close collaboration with others? Responsibilities

As an Education Manager, you report directly to the Unit Manager and are part of a team that systematically works with the onboarding and further education of our employees, as well as the follow-up and analysis of daily operations. The tasks are varied and include planning, developing, and implementing educational initiatives and improvement measures regarding employees, care, and patients, with the aim of developing the operations in accordance with their goals.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Follow development and research within the fields of the operations.
• Be a key and active participant in the quality development of the operations.
• Act as a knowledge resource and representative to managers in various development projects concerning the operations' development, both within the clinic and in contact with other clinics, healthcare facilities, and authorities.
• Plan the "Annual Calendar" for education for ambulance operations.
• Assist in prioritizing educational initiatives based on current economic conditions.
• Be responsible for the development and implementation of the operations' education, both physical education days and digital courses.
• Create new and revise digital education in the Learning Portal (Lärportalen).
• Fulfill regional educational assignments.
• Collaborate with schedule managers to distribute education opportunities to the operations' employees and ensure they are communicated in a timely manner.
• Act as a support/mentor for lead instructors within the various education programs and instructor groups (e.g., Trauma, CPR, PS, CBRNE, AMLS, PEEP, Traffic).
• Maintain contact with internal and external lecturers/trainers.
• Work to ensure the support unit functions as a high-quality and cost-effective educational unit.
• Tasks are variable and adapt to the needs of the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a university degree at the bachelor's level within healthcare. You should have several years of experience in emergency/ambulance care. Previous experience in educational work, very good IT skills, and relevant instructor certifications are meritorious. You should be able to take initiative and work independently on assignments, while also being part of a dynamic team effort. The work involves many contact points both within the operational area and externally, so good social competence and a professional demeanor are essential.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
