Department of Student and Educational Support

At SLU's Department of Student and Educational Support, you will play a key role in providing students from all over the world with a smooth and legally secure path into education – and onwards into their careers. Here, you combine administration with social benefit in a dynamic environment where international perspectives, quality, and student service are at the forefront.

We are now looking for you who want to work as an Admissions Coordinator (Production Manager, PA) within the Unit for Study Administration and Mobility at campus Ultuna or Alnarp.

About the Job

As an Admissions Coordinator (Production Manager, PA), you have a clear responsibility for the planning and management of the practical admissions process and serve as the contact person for the coordinated admissions. In your role, you coordinate the entire admissions round and assess the eligibility of applicants with both foreign and Swedish qualifications. SLU has a total of three PAs who together are responsible for the different admissions rounds. You are also part of a larger group of admissions officers located at campus Ultuna and Alnarp respectively. The work also involves informing about eligibility and selection rules, building models in NyA, writing statements to the appeals board, producing and processing statistics, and contributing to the development of various materials and official responses. You are expected to plan and conduct meetings and workshops. Furthermore, the work involves collaboration within our department and continuous contact with students and staff at departments and faculty offices. Together with our other admissions coordinators, you engage in dialogue with faculties and departments regarding procedures and areas for development.

The department has staff at SLU's locations Ultuna, Alnarp, Umeå, and Skara, which means you need to be able to travel to different locations as needed.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience with admissions processing within universities/higher education.
  • An academic degree, at least at the bachelor's level.
  • Good knowledge of the systems NyA and Ladok.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Meritorious experience includes:

  • Experience in production responsibility/coordination within admissions at higher education/universities.
  • Experience in personnel management/project management.

We are looking for you who are responsible, secure, and stable with good self-awareness and sound judgment. You are flexible, have an easy time taking on new tasks and adapting to changes. Additionally, you are meticulous, have a structured way of working, and are accustomed to making decisions based on current regulations and timeframes. You should enjoy working both independently and together with others. Since you are to support and collaborate with colleagues and others within the operation, you need to be receptive, clear, a good communicator, service-oriented, and have an easy time collaborating.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
