HR Partner
Property, Support and Service is Västra Götaland Region's (VGR) own property management and service organization. Within the administration, there are approximately 3,000 employees.
The mission of the HR unit is to facilitate and create conditions for our managers to work with employee issues in a way that contributes to an efficient operation characterized by motivation and job satisfaction. We at the HR unit are 17 employees, eight of whom work as HR partners providing support to various operations within the administration.
The Role of HR Partner
In this role, you will primarily support the Region Area Internal Service, which is the administration's most labor-intensive area with approximately 1,300 employees. The region area is responsible for internal services to healthcare in the Västra Götaland Region, and the operations are located at hospitals within the region. Examples of services and deliveries include facility maintenance, care-adjacent service services, and patient transport. Three HR partners provide support within the area.
As an HR Partner, you will work independently in a broad role where you have a seat in the management group and provide close support to first- and second-line managers. In your daily work, you may handle numerous issues with short lead times, which requires structure and initiative, while always keeping the strategic focus in mind.
The operation is labor-intensive, and more complex personnel matters regarding both labor law and rehabilitation occur. Furthermore, matters concerning health/work environment, competence supply, wage formation, negotiation, recruitment, and union cooperation are included. The work will be both operational and strategic and takes place across the entire Västra Götaland Region.
You have a clearly consultative role where you guide managers to apply Västra Götaland Region's HR processes. We offer an independent and developing role in an environment where you will have the opportunity to develop HR work together with your colleagues. Here you have the privilege of being part of an engaged and helpful HR team, while at the same time spending a large part of your time working out in the line operations.
Qualifications:
We are looking for you who have an academic degree in the HR field or another relevant direction, as well as a few years of experience in qualified, broad HR work in a labor-intensive, larger organization. We would like you to have good experience with labor law and rehabilitation. You are confident in your professional role and are accustomed to working consultatively and independently as support to managers. You possess very good collaboration skills, communicate easily, and establish trusting relationships. To succeed in the role, you see the big picture, are solution-oriented, and have a good ability to structure your work. You should enjoy handling multiple tasks in parallel and be used to working against deadlines and sometimes short decision times, while simultaneously maintaining the strategic perspective.
Experience in the public sector, preferably in a politically governed organization, is meritorious. A B-driving license is desirable as travel for work is common; where possible, we use public transport for travel.
Västra Götaland Region offers flexible working forms based on the conditions of the operation, and there is an opportunity to combine work from our offices and remotely. Location at the Region House in Gothenburg.
