We are looking for
Coordinator for the Buddy Programme, 25% permanent position
Content and responsibilities
As the Coordinator for the Buddy Programme, you will play a key role in implementing and developing the university's work with social mentors and buddies for students. This assignment is part of an ongoing development project where the activity is being established and structured.
You will work closely with the project manager and contribute to translating the project's goals into practice by planning, coordinating, and executing activities related to the buddy and mentorship programme.
The purpose of the activity is to strengthen students' opportunities to create social connections and a sense of belonging, with a particular focus on new students and students in need of support. The work has a promoting and preventive focus, aiming to counteract loneliness and contribute to good study conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- coordinating and supporting buddies and volunteers in their ongoing work
- planning and executing activities and events related to the programme
- contributing to communication and information dissemination to students
- coordinating efforts in collaboration with the student union, faculties, and other stakeholders
- supporting monitoring and development of the activity
You will work in a small team together with the project manager and other functions within the Student Centre.
Qualifications
Specific requirements for this position:
- education in media and communication
- experience in communication work targeting students
- experience in volunteer work and non-profit activities
- good knowledge of Malmö University
You are communicative, proactive, and have a strong ability to generate engagement in others. You thrive in a role where you work closely with operations and contribute to making activities function in practice.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked at Malmö University and have established networks within the university and the non-profit sector.
