As a Business Controller in our Communications and Digitalization Department, you will have great opportunities to influence, work closely with management, and drive development issues in a complex and changing environment. Responsibilities
As a Business Controller, you report directly to the Head of the Communications and Digitalization Department and serve as a strategic support to the department's leadership. You play a central role in strengthening management, planning, and follow-up, as well as contributing to coordination and development within the department, the support staff as a whole, and in cross-administrative processes.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Working with the department's leadership team to ensure the department's work is adapted to and proactively meets national reforms and administrative leadership priorities.
- Contributing to strengthening the strategic management of the department, e.g., by providing qualified decision support.
- Supporting department managers in coordinating, planning, and following up on operations, such as target and budget work or cross-administrative processes.
- Leading, coordinating, and/or contributing to development assignments and investigations within the department and support staff.
- Collaborating with employees within the department as well as with corresponding functions in other support departments to coordinate and create common working methods, priorities, and direction.
- Analyzing positive and risk factors as well as the need for management and follow-up related to the department's mission in the development work of the Employment and Social Administration.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university degree at least at the bachelor's level within the field of social sciences, management, or equivalent as assessed by the employer.
You have several years of experience in strategic development work within the public sector and collaboration across organizational boundaries, as well as driving and developing common working methods.
You express yourself very well in Swedish and have good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing.
Merits for the position include:
- Experience in process development work.
- Experience in strategic management support or development work related to communication or digitalization, or other areas assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Experience in change management.
- Leadership training.
We are looking for you who work proactively, take initiative, and have the ability to identify opportunities and create conditions for development and results. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, and you have a knack for building trust and engagement in joint processes.
You have analytical skills and can handle complex situations by seeing connections, maintaining a holistic perspective, and contributing new perspectives, structure, and working methods for planning, management, and follow-up.
About the Workplace
The Communications and Digitalization Department (KoD) is one of four support departments, along with the Finance Department, HR, and the Quality and Development Department. KoD provides expertise, management, and support to the Employment and Social Administration's (ASF) operations and administrative leadership in matters concerning internal and external communication, IT, and digitalization.
Communications and Digitalization is responsible for strategic shifts, innovation, and administration within its area of expertise and is also responsible for supporting managers in communication matters.
