We are looking for a Preschool Teacher at Lindénska School in Lerum
Lerum Municipality is known for its beautiful natural settings with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects significant growth in the coming years. Lerum is located just 20 minutes from Gothenburg and is currently facing a period of intense development with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate.
Dagens Samhälle has recently named Lerum the winner in the category of large municipalities (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities regarding schools, healthcare and social care, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business life, and future factors such as digitalization and civil preparedness. We are now a Super Municipality!
About the Workplace
Lindénska School is Lerum Municipality's resource school for students within AST (Autism, Language, and Accessibility). Approximately 25 students attend the school, divided into three grade levels: lower, middle, and upper primary school. The school is located in two separate buildings in close proximity to Stenkulan School. The workplace is organized into three work teams. The team consists of teachers and resource pedagogues. The team works closely with the school's student health team, which includes a special needs educator, counselor, school nurse, study and career counselor (SYV), and school psychologist.
Operational Philosophy
Here is Lindénska School's operational philosophy:
Lindénska School shall provide students with the prerequisites to achieve the goals of the curriculum. All staff at the school contribute to this work, and student learning is the focus of all interventions at the school. Our students should be active in their learning process. Daring to try and learn from mistakes is also a form of learning. We want students to dare to take initiative, try different ways of learning, and express their own opinions in the way they feel comfortable with. The goal is for learning to take place in a social context, both analogously and/or digitally.
At Lindénska School, the aim is also to create opportunities for learning that better equip students for life's opportunities and challenges. This requires all staff to work towards developing clear leadership and an inclusive approach. All teaching should, to the greatest possible extent, take place in groups, and only in exceptional cases is teaching conducted separately. If this occurs, the goal is to create a situation as soon as possible where the student's need for a socially accessible learning environment is met.
