Job Responsibilities

As an After School Teacher at Hästhagenskolan, your role is to support and challenge students in their development towards their full potential. You create accessible and stimulating learning environments where learning engages all senses.

For the upcoming academic year, we are looking for an engaged After School Teacher for our preschool class team - Year 1 team, with responsibility for physical education for these year levels. The assignment involves actively contributing to students' social development, identity formation, and learning throughout the school day. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching and activities based on the school's steering documents, together with other After School Teachers.

The position involves close collaboration within the work team and tight cooperation with the year-level teams at the school to create a holistic approach to each student's schooling.

As an After School Teacher at Hästhagenskolan:

• You work situationally and experience-based, with the ability to adapt teaching to the group's composition and the current situation.
• You collaborate with other After School Teachers to shape good planning and teaching.
• You utilize students' needs, interests, and initiatives as a starting point for creating relevant and stimulating activities.
• You promote students' imagination and interaction through play, movement, creativity, and exploratory approaches, where aesthetic forms of expression are a natural part of teaching.
• You develop an active and inspiring break activity program that creates joy in movement and contributes to students' social, physical, and mental health throughout the school day.
• You provide support in students' daily learning and social contexts, and work for a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel seen and included.
• You actively work on shaping accessible learning environments and use visual supports in your teaching.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for you who are engaged, cooperative, and have a strong commitment to children's well-being and development.

• Show good leadership qualities and have the ability to create safety and structure in the student group.
• Find it easy to create and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Work actively with inclusion and have the ability to meet each student based on their individual needs and conditions.
• Are a good team player who contributes to a positive and developmental work climate.
• Have an engaged and solution-focused approach where the student's learning and well-being are at the center.
• Have good communication skills and master Swedish well in both speech and writing.
• Are creative and practically aesthetically inclined, with an interest in integrating movement, creativity, and sustainability into daily work.
• Work independently but also gladly together with colleagues to develop the operations.

The qualification requirement is that you are a certified After School Teacher with a focus on Physical Education and Health. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
