Description

Härlandatjärnskolan is a completely new school welcoming students from the autumn term of 2022. The school will have two classes in each grade level and a total of approximately 560 students from preschool class to grade 9 when fully established. The school is located in a very scenic area by Härlanda pond, with close proximity to forest and lake. The school's location, combined with the internal environment where significant effort has been made to design learning environments that offer students a fantastic working atmosphere, makes it unique in many ways.

Härlandatjärnskolan is now seeking a teacher for grades 1–3. The position is fixed-term, starting in the autumn term of 2026 and running until July 2026.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team of primary school teachers for grades 1–3. The role involves responsibility for planning, conducting, and evaluating lessons. Mentoring is also part of the assignment, where close dialogue with the student and guardians is of utmost importance.

Together with your colleagues, you will create conditions for students' knowledge development and help achieve the goals of the curriculum and course plans. You will jointly be responsible for planning, documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' development. You and your colleagues work to create a joyful and varied school day with the students' best interests at heart. Using the school's local area and its unbeatable location in the middle of nature in teaching is seen as a matter of course. The work also involves collaboration with other teachers, student health services, guardians, other staff, and external actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 1–3 with broad subject competence, where Mathematics/Science (MA/NO) is a requirement. Experience working with GSFE and/or other digital platforms is advantageous. We would also appreciate if you have training in PAX.

In the role of teacher with us, we seek someone with good collaboration skills to help achieve our goals. We imagine that you are also skilled at building good relationships, primarily with the students, but also with guardians and colleagues. You must have experience working with students requiring various support measures. We believe that a good relationship between teacher and student is a fundamental basis for learning to take place. We also expect you to foster a respectful work climate and communicate professionally with students, colleagues, and guardians. You do this by being open and accommodating, as well as by listening to your surroundings to understand their needs. Continuous development of operations takes place here, so we would like you to contribute new ideas and perspectives to work-related issues and challenge methods, approaches, and mindsets.

We warmly welcome your application!

We also welcome recent graduates to apply. To give you, as a newly graduated teacher, the best possible start in your career, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for new teachers. The introduction provides you with a network of other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

The position is subject to the condition that it is not filled for internal reasons.
