We are now looking for an Account Manager for the West region who wants to develop long-term business within the scrap, metal, and recycling segments. Here, sales are about understanding customers' material flows, business models, and value chains, driving business at a high pace, and taking shared responsibility for our results.

Your daily life as an Account Manager

Here, you don't wait for business to come to you – you are where the customers are and where decisions are made. You drive proactive sales, create new business, and develop collaborations within the scrap and metal segments. You own the entire sales process from first contact to closing, plan your customer portfolio, and keep track of your pipeline. But you don't do it alone. You collaborate closely with colleagues, share insights, jump in on joint deals where needed, and celebrate successes together.

In this role, you will:

  • Create new business and develop existing customers through proactive sales and active prospecting.
  • Build and develop the customer portfolio within the scrap, metal, and recycling segments.
  • Drive the entire business from prospecting and needs analysis to quote, negotiation, and closing.
  • Identify material values and propose solutions that optimize the customer's material flows and logistics from both an economic and sustainability perspective.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers (e.g., production managers, buyers, site and warehouse managers) and act as a consulting partner.
  • Work systematically in our CRM to have full control over your pipeline and consistently follow up on your deals.
  • Ensure business quality through analysis, margin calculation, and commercial prioritization.
  • Participate in tenders and commercial initiatives together with the team.
  • Contribute to the development of working methods, tools, and sales processes.
  • The role involves travel within the region and a high presence at customer sites.

You are analytical, curious, and have an easy time understanding complex connections, the customer's operations, and what drives profitability. With a genuine interest in people, you have a natural ability to create security and build the long-term relationships that are the foundation of good business. You are receptive and quickly get up to speed with both technical and commercial issues. At the same time, you are structured and resilient, which means you maintain focus and drive your deals all the way to the finish line, even in longer sales processes.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience from scrap, metal, recycling, or industrial operations.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B) (travel within the region is a prerequisite for the role).
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
  • Good system competence and good knowledge of the Office suite.

Meritorious

  • Experience with raw material flows or logistics.
  • Experience in proactive B2B service sales with longer deals/sales cycles.
  • Experience in selling directly to industry or production.
  • Some form of sales, business, or logistics education (e.g., IHM or equivalent).

  • Location: You base yourself at our office in Hisings Backa, but your daily life is largely based on meetings out in the field with our customers.
  • Scope: Full-time.
  • Working hours: Office hours, with flexibility.
