ABOUT THE ROLEAs a technical inside sales representative, you will become a key player in a team working on customer projects within vibration, insulation, and acoustics. You will work closely with other technical inside sales representatives, technical outside sales representatives, consultants, and contractors. The role is based in Gothenburg but involves close collaboration with colleagues throughout the Nordic region. At our client's company, you will receive a thorough introduction with practical training and the opportunity to gradually build specialist competence in acoustics and vibration technology. The role is broad and varied, combining technical problem-solving, customer dialogue, and project-oriented work. You will become an important advisor to customers and partners while having the opportunity to influence and develop as the organization continues to grow. The majority of the work stems from incoming inquiries where you analyze customer needs, dimension the correct solution, and prepare technical documentation. At the same time, you work proactively by following up on projects, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing contact with customers where the company's products are specified. The role involves shorter trips a few times a year.
Examples of tasks:
- Handle incoming technical inquiries via phone and email.
- Identify customer needs and dimension the correct solution within vibration and sound insulation.
- Prepare technical calculations and solution proposals based on load, frequency, material, and construction.
- Drive own business through customer dialogue, quotation work, follow-up, and closing, including simpler pricing and negotiation.
- Read and interpret drawings as well as acoustics and vibration reports to identify new business opportunities.
- Support technical outside sales representatives in complex projects and project deliveries.
- Follow up on projects where the company's products are specified and continue the dialogue with contractors and customers.
- Participate in training with international suppliers, customer visits, trade fairs, and collaborate with colleagues in the Nordics.
- Have a completed bachelor's or master's degree in, for example, civil engineering, materials technology, acoustics, or another equivalent technical education where you have taken courses in sound/acoustics and vibration.
- Have experience in a sales/customer-oriented role through, for example, experiences before studies or during your study time.
- Have a strong technical interest and are driven by analyzing and solving technical problems.
- Have experience reading technical drawings or other technical documentation.
- Have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing, as both languages are used in daily work.
It is not a requirement but would be an advantage if you:
- Have work experience within sound, vibration, and/or insulation.
