Become our new Land Manager in Huddinge Municipality!

Do you want to help shape the future of land and property management in one of Stockholm's most attractive and innovative municipalities? At Huddinge Municipality, you will have the opportunity to work with varied and meaningful tasks in a supportive and engaged team!

About the position

The responsibility for the municipality's property ownership and land management issues is currently shared between our coordinator for land management issues, property administrators, and several of the development engineers. To meet the increased number of cases and the need for an expanded organization, the Urban Planning Department is now also looking for a Land Manager for the Land and Development Section.

As a Land Manager, your duties cover various parts of the municipality's land management responsibilities. You will work with drafting and handling usage rights agreements, such as leases, easements, and utility agreements, as well as the purchase and sale of properties. The role also includes renegotiating and monitoring leasehold rights and taking action in case of unauthorized use of the municipality's land. In addition, you handle administrative tasks arising from the municipality's property ownership, such as tax assessment issues, building permit referrals, statements according to the Public Order Act, and control of land permits.

You will work in close collaboration with colleagues within the section and with other departments in the municipality. You will also have extensive external contact with property owners and businesses in the municipality. In addition, the role includes development work within the section's operations, where you contribute to identifying areas for improvement, suggesting measures, and participating in the implementation of development initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who thrives in a team environment and has a couple of years of experience in land management, preferably from municipal operations.

We want you to:

  • have an academic education in urban planning, surveying, property development, or a university college degree (YH) with a similar focus, combined with relevant work experience
  • have property law knowledge with a focus on property rights
  • have experience from drafting agreements for the purchase and sale of properties
  • have experience with various land permit agreements such as easements, leases, and other usage rights
  • be a service-oriented person with good communication skills
  • be a team player with good collaboration skills, who is flexible, curious, and enjoys learning new things.

We believe you will succeed best in the role if you have a good ability to independently structure, plan, and lead your work. You can quickly change focus in new circumstances. Being communicative is of great importance as the role involves dialogue with external actors, other municipal departments, and Huddinge's residents. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
