About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, your main task will be to help the customer with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

Your duties include accompanying the boy to his school together with another assistant. The boy needs help with everything from communication, play, and fun during breaks to exercise and stretching. He also needs assistance with meals via PEG, transfers to and from his wheelchair, personal hygiene, inhalations, suctioning of secretions, etc. The boy does not speak; communication is done through pictures, and you will learn to interpret his sounds and body language. The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others, is engaged, reliable, and responsible. You take initiative and contribute to a smooth workflow.

Requirements for the position:

• Previous experience working with children with functional variations in complex assignments
• Good knowledge of Swedish
• A meticulous, proactive, and positive personality
• Good physical condition and not afraid of challenges
• Non-smoker
• Not allergic to cats

Merits for the position:

• Experience with lifting belts and various aids such as standing frames
• Experience with tube feeding, inhalers, and suction devices
• Knowledge of epilepsy

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Working hours, extent, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with a work extent of approximately 75%. Shifts are scheduled on weekdays, 9 AM - 3 PM. The work also includes school holidays.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to collective agreements.

Start date: 2026-07-20 or according to agreement.
