Do you want to contribute to safety, development, and independence in people's daily lives? Then you are our new support assistant for residential support!
Who are we?
Residential support is a service that provides support in users' homes for individuals with mental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or substance abuse issues.
Our work is characterized by a clear rehabilitative approach where participation, personal development, and increased independence are always in focus.
Through motivational work, guidance, and practical support, we create the conditions for the user to handle their daily life as much as possible and achieve a functional social existence.
The interventions are designed individually and are based on each person's implementation plan as well as the municipality's goals and guidelines.
Your responsibilities
As a support assistant with us, you are part of a team consisting of 6–7 employees. You work based on the users' implementation plans with the goal of creating cohesive and individualized support.
In your work, you also collaborate with various services and networks to best meet the user's needs.
You monitor and pay attention to changes in the user's well-being. Based on this, you adapt your working method both for long-term changes and in situations requiring quick adjustments.
Most of the working time involves solo work as you primarily meet the user alone. Therefore, it is important that you feel secure and independent in your professional role.
From an allergy perspective, it is good to know that in the ordinary residences you visit, there may be fur-bearing animals and smoking.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are trained as a nurse assistant, have studied child and youth care with a social focus, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent.
We would like you to have knowledge of working with individuals who have mental disabilities, where some substance abuse issues may also occur.
We view it positively if you have worked with or have knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal approach, independent living (IL), and motivational interviewing (MI). We would also like you to be accustomed to working with different target groups.
As a person, you independently structure your work and have a user focus where you place the individual's needs, wishes, and participation at the center.
You are flexible and can adapt to changed situations while having the ability to think creatively and find solutions based on the individual's needs.
As a person, you are secure and stable. You easily create new relationships and maintain them. You adapt your communication according to the recipient and situation, and it is natural for you to collaborate well with both colleagues and users.
A B-driving license is desirable, primarily for manual transmission.
You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, both from a user perspective but also from the authority contacts you will have.
Welcome with your application!
