Division Administrator at The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a Christian church with extensive social work and engagement. We are located throughout Sweden and meet people in various life situations through social work, support initiatives, and community building. Our mission is to win people for Jesus, train in discipleship, and meet people in need with support, care, and hope.

We are currently undergoing structural changes within the program section, and we are therefore looking for a Division Administrator for a new and important role. The position is based at The Salvation Army's headquarters in Stockholm.

As a Division Administrator, you work closely with the division managers and serve as a key support in leading, coordinating, and developing the operations within the section.

Responsibilities

As a Division Administrator, you play a central role in assisting the division managers and coordinating daily operations. You work both operationally and administratively, focusing on creating structure to support the operations and contribute to achieving set goals. There is close collaboration between you, the division manager team, and the rest of us working at The Salvation Army's program office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting division managers in planning, follow-up, and development of operations
  • Coordinating and structuring work within the division manager group
  • Preparing and compiling materials and reports for the program director and the section's management group
  • Acting as a link between corps, finance, and administrative functions
  • Handling HR-related matters such as employment, contracts, and payroll reviews
  • Coordinating contacts with IT and telephony, including licenses, accounts, and equipment
  • Working with budgeting, operational planning, and financial follow-up

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a structured approach to work who thrives in a driving and coordinating role with many contact points. You are a clear communicator who builds connections and engages others, and you enjoy challenges. You are proactive and enjoy varied work.

Requirements:

  • Completed upper secondary education in a relevant field
  • Several years of experience in administrative work
  • Experience in coordinating or leading administrative processes
  • Very good computer skills, primarily in Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Merits:

  • Experience in document management, minute-taking, and Unit4
  • Experience in personnel management/project management
  • Experience from a corps/church or the non-profit sector.

What We Offer

  • Salary: Monthly salary.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Duration: Permanent.
  • Working Hours: Daytime. Standard working hours Monday-Friday 8:00-16:30, with flexibility options.
