Job Responsibilities

Through close collaboration within the student health service and with teachers and mentors in the school's programs, we focus on promoting students' learning and development at the individual, group, and school levels. Our mission is to ensure that students have access to knowledgeable educators who work in a pedagogically conscious manner and adapt methods for each student and situation.

As part of this work, the special needs educator conducts pedagogical assessments, is involved in action plans, provides guidance to teachers regarding extra adjustments and work with students with special needs, and contributes to the development of inclusive learning environments. As a special needs educator, you play an important role in the dialogue with teachers and school leadership. As part of the student health team, you participate in our collaborative work to develop the school's student health services and contribute to long-term working methods. In this way, the student health service is a natural part of the systematic quality work at the school.

The assignment means that you, together with many others, will get to work with young people and help them become as much as they can be!

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a special needs educator, preferably with experience from upper secondary school, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of, and experience working with, students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF) and special needs. You have knowledge of various assessment methods, compensatory aids, and other pedagogical tools that support students and increase their prerequisites for success in their studies. You naturally use the computer as a natural part of your work.

We see that you are flexible and have an easy time collaborating with teachers and other professions, as well as with students in their learning environment. You are solution-focused, structured, communicative, and engaged in creating accessible learning environments. You enjoy working in teams and collaborating with different professions within the student health service and with school leadership, but can also work independently.

Merits

• Experience from working in upper secondary school.
• Experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF).
