Ung Arena is located at Norra Kyrkogatan 3. The operations are co-located with the upper secondary and adult education KAA activities. The two operations collaborate and support each other in a very flexible and dynamic way. Ung Arena uses BIP (Behavioral Intervention Plan) and solution-focused approaches as methods and attitudes. The operations are built on three pillars: work, studies, and health, and are characterized by horizontal principles such as non-discrimination, gender equality, and accessibility.

Job Responsibilities

Ung Arena holds regular coaching individual conversations. Group meetings are offered on weekday mornings 3 days/week and a couple of afternoons per week. A selection of what the operations offer includes: enhanced group work training at companies and in the municipality's own operations, job search meetings, and self-strengthening group meetings focusing on physical and psychosocial health. At Ung Arena, we also offer study support. We have a close collaboration with adult education and other study providers.

As a labor market consultant, you work closely with the participants. In addition to daily individual conversations and group meetings, you conduct follow-ups at internships and workplaces, and joint planning with social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, schools, the region, etc. A young adult at Ung Arena often needs support from many different authorities to develop their full potential and feel well. As a labor market consultant, you are the spider in the web who helps the young person make the right connections. As a labor market consultant, you create a supportive relationship and follow the young adult over time.

Qualifications

University degree, e.g., social worker, HR specialist, teacher, study and career counselor.

You have good knowledge of educational paths, the labor market, and social services.

You enjoy working practically.

Aside from good interpersonal skills, you collaborate easily with both the young people and your colleagues and partners.

Merits: Pedagogical experience and knowledge of BIP and solution-focused approaches.
