You make a difference where it matters – every day.
Some roles are crucial for a school to function effectively.
This is one of them.
We are now looking for a School Counselor who wants to take a central role in our student welfare work – in an organization characterized by clear structure, high quality, and shared responsibility for students' development. You will receive a clear introduction and work closely with an established student welfare team.
About the Workplace
Do you want to work in a school where structure, study environment, and quality are clearly prioritized – and where student welfare is an integrated part of the operations?
Europaskolan Rogge is a non-profit primary school with approximately 500 students in grades 4–9. Here, we work within clear frameworks and with high expectations, in an environment where security, responsibility, and long-term perspective characterize both teaching and student welfare.
This creates a stable work environment with good conditions for working systematically, following up on interventions, and developing methods over time.
About the Position
As a School Counselor at Europaskolan Rogge, you have a central role in the school's student welfare work. The role involves both direct work with students and structured, preventive work at the group and organizational levels.
You work in an organization where responsibilities, routines, and methods are clearly established – which reduces ad hoc work and allows you to focus on quality in your professional tasks.
The role includes, among other things:
- conducting social investigations and assessments
- providing counseling to students, both individually and in groups
- facilitating and leading conversations with guardians
- documenting, analyzing, and following up on cases
- providing guidance and support to teachers and other staff
At the same time, you have clear responsibilities in the school's joint efforts:
- contribute to preventive and promoting student welfare work
- work with security, core values, and equal treatment
- handle and follow up on bullying incidents
- actively participate in the student welfare team, security work, and attendance initiatives
- collaborate with external actors such as social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and other networks
You are part of the school's whole – where student welfare works closely with the operations and where your role makes a tangible difference in daily life.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a secure foundation in your profession and want to work both close to students and preventively.
Requirements:
- degree in Social Work (Social Work degree)
- experience working with children and young people
- very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- good documentation skills and a structured approach to work
Merits:
- experience working as a School Counselor
- experience collaborating with external actors
- experience in preventive student welfare work
Personal suitability is given great weight.
Personal Attributes
The role requires that you can handle multiple perspectives simultaneously – from individual student cases to the school's overarching work.
To succeed, we see that you:
- are secure and stable in your professional role
- find it easy to build trusting relationships
- are structured and analytical in your approach to work
- can lead conversations in complex situations
- are clear in your communication
- have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Why Europaskolan Rogge?
With us, you become part of an organization where student welfare is not a side issue – but an integrated part of the school's core mission.
You work in an organization where:
- structure and clarity create predictability in daily life
- roles, responsibilities, and methods are well established
- collegial collaboration and shared responsibility characterize the work
- quality and long-term perspective are prioritized over short-term solutions
This gives you, as a counselor, a clear mandate and good opportunities to work professionally, follow up on your interventions, and develop the work over time.
