Your assignment

As a Social Secretary, you are responsible for investigation, assessment, planning, and follow-up regarding individuals applying for assistance in our unit. An important part of the work is documentation and collaboration, both with colleagues within your own administration, but also with other authorities and organizations.

The role includes:

  • Investigation and needs assessment of adult individuals
  • Decisions on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM)
  • Documentation, follow-up, and ongoing case processing
  • Conversations, motivational work, and counseling
  • Collaboration with internal and external actors
  • Contribution to method and development work

Investigation and Follow-up Adults

Within the Investigation and Follow-up Unit, the authority operations within the adult area are consolidated. Here, we work with cases regarding harmful use and addiction as well as social psychiatry.

You meet people in different life situations and work on creating conditions for change and increased independence. The role involves both independent work and close collaboration with colleagues and other actors surrounding the individual.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Social Work degree or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience working in harmful use and addiction and/or social psychiatry
  • Category B driver's license and driving experience

Merits

  • ASI and/or CAN training and experience working with assessment instruments
  • Experience with the business system Lifecare
  • Knowledge in MI (Motivational Interviewing)

Employment

The positions are within the Social Services Administration in the City of Helsingborg. Shift work may occur in some areas, and evening duties are included as needed.
