The Social Services Administration is responsible for authority exercises, ordering of measures, and own management within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. Your responsibilities

As a support pedagogue at Skattegården 55, you have a key role in driving and developing the pedagogical work. You work closely with the clients in their daily lives while strengthening the work group's structure, working methods, and approach. An essential part of the assignment is to create clarity and consensus, as well as to support your colleagues in interaction, communication, and pedagogical methods.

Your tasks consist of pedagogical support in everyday life. You support the client in daily living, which includes personal care, meals, cleaning, laundry, and shopping. You work with planning and structure, and together with the individual, you structure and design measures based on their unique needs, which is anchored in an implementation plan. You maintain social documentation and work actively with follow-up. Furthermore, you motivate towards meaningful activities and social community. This can range from walks to supporting the client in contacts with authorities. Together with the work group, you plan, implement, and follow up on measures over time.

The operations are based on methods such as IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus) and ESL (An Independent Life), with the goal of promoting high quality of life and independence. We meet the client with respect for their self-determination, integrity, and trust in their own abilities.

The work requires great calmness and patience. We apply a low-affective approach and MI (Motivational Interviewing) to reduce stress, handle challenging situations, and adapt communication when conditions change.

Your workplace

The LSS Department within the Social Services Administration is responsible for support for persons over 21 years within social psychiatry and according to LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Within the department, we have employees with broad experience and competence, distributed across several operations. Within social psychiatry, we work with individuals with mental and/or neuropsychiatric functional variations as well as substance abuse issues.

Skattegården 55 is a service housing for persons with neuropsychiatric functional impairments. The residence consists of 11 apartments and is located in the district of Skäggetorp. The assignments and support you provide are based from the base apartment at Skattegården 55. The clients live at various addresses around Skäggetorp.

The work group consists of 4 colleagues with varying backgrounds, most of whom are support assistants or support pedagogues. We are currently looking for a new colleague who wants to become part of our wonderful team. The position is a permanent full-time employment (100%), and working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a University College (YH) education as a support pedagogue (minimum 200 credits) or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working within LSS or social psychiatry and with low-affective interaction. You also have experience meeting people with neuropsychiatric and/or intellectual disabilities.

To be able to perform the work, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as documentation and communication are a central part of the assignment.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with substance abuse issues, self-harm behavior, and/or social work. Knowledge of ESL (An Independent Life), IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), motivational interviewing (MI), low-affective interaction, and pedagogical approach is meritorious.
