Do you want to help shape the future of healthcare and social care? The Inspectorate of Health and Care (IVO) is facing an exciting development with more assignments and continued growth. We are now looking for analysts in Stockholm who want to be part of developing state supervision and licensing – for safer and more secure healthcare and social care.
About the job
As an analyst, you work with data-driven analysis and the agency's statistical production. Among other things, you will work with:
- modelling, to quantitatively work with risk-based supervision, quality, patient and user focus, as well as analysis of unscrupulous and criminal actors
- developing the agency's own data sources with regard to quality and usability
- collecting and processing statistics from various data sources from internal or external requests. The agency works with the statistical program R
- preparing material for reports and other written summaries
- contributing to the development of indicators and analysis models
- identifying risk areas, patterns and trends in operations within IVO's supervision and licensing assignments.
You often work on several assignments simultaneously, in close collaboration with different professions and functions within the agency. The work is team-based and characterized by a holistic perspective, collaboration and development – while you are also expected to be able to drive parts of the work independently.
The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period, located in Stockholm.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- an academic university or college degree with a focus on quantitative methods, or other education assessed as equivalent
- at least 3 years of documented and relevant experience and methodological knowledge of qualified quantitative analysis work
- current experience with statistical programs, such as R, SAS or STATA
- good ability to analyze complex issues and present conclusions in a clear and pedagogical way
- documented experience in producing structured and qualitative memos and other written materials
- very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You have strong analytical skills and you can translate complex information into clear conclusions. Your communicative strength enables you to convey messages in a clear, concise and trustworthy manner, both orally and in writing.
We also value that you have the ability to see the big picture and at the same time be solution-oriented when challenges arise. With a good sense of structure, you can relate to the overall goal and create progress in the work.

We consider it meritorious if you also have:
- experience of analysis work within healthcare or social services
- documented work experience in analysis activities at a central administrative authority or another knowledge authority.

Workplace description
The Analysis Department drives extensive and exciting work to develop more risk-based and data-driven supervision and has a strategic role for the agency. The department is part of the core operations where collaboration with supervision and licensing is an important part. Today, approximately 70 employees work at the department across four units with assignments within analysis, statistics, registers and information services. The goal is to contribute to accurate and uniform supervision and share our knowledge.

The Inspectorate of Health and Care's (IVO) assignment is to contribute to healthcare and social care that is safe, has good quality and is conducted in accordance with laws and other regulations through supervision and licensing.
The agency is characterized by great commitment as well as broad and deep knowledge and understanding of healthcare and social care in Sweden. IVO is driven by the vision that we have control, that we create learning and that we make healthcare and social care safer and better. We exist for the patients and users of care.
The agency has approximately 850 employees. The supervision work is carried out at six regional departments around the country. The departments for licensing, analysis, planning and communication, as well as operational support, are located in Stockholm, as is the Director General's office.
