About us

The labor market unit consists of approximately 20 employees who work in different teams and initiatives with the goal of helping people into work or studies. We work both on behalf of economic assistance and directly with individuals who seek support from us.

We offer individual support and guidance as well as group initiatives adapted to the individual's needs and goals.

You are placed at Hantverket at Smedby gård. Hantverket is a support pillar for the open-air museum Viking farm Gunnes gård, which is run by Upplands Väsby Municipality. The open-air museum has its office at Smedby gård. Hantverket's task is to manufacture items for and maintain certain parts of the open-air museum Gunnes gård. Gunnes gård is a reconstruction of a Viking Age farmstead from the year 1040. The museum receives school classes and general visitors from April to October, during which time sheep, chickens, and pigs are also present on site. Last year there were 26,000 visitors. Throughout the year, major maintenance work is ongoing. Your primary tasks will be to supervise and support adult participants doing internships within Hantverket to better prepare them for the labor market.

About the position

The role of supervisor/coach involves supporting and coaching participants in need of labor market rehabilitation. In this role, you will, among other things, work with:

• Collaborating with staff and operations at Gunnes gård. Depending on the season, 15-20 people work at the unit
• Supporting and guiding participants in Hantverket
• Motivating and coaching participants
• Collaborating with Labor Market Coaches
• Contributing to the maintenance of Gunnes gård

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience with labor market rehabilitation
• Is a social pedagogue/therapeutic pedagogue
• Has experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF)
• Has experience working with individuals with mental health issues
• Has experience working with people in need of extended support
• Has knowledge, experience, and preferably education in textile techniques
• Has knowledge, experience, and preferably education in gardening and cultivation

It is meritorious if you have:

• Driver's license (Category B)
• Pedagogical background
• Ability to speak languages other than Swedish and English

As a person, you are stable by being consistent and enduring in your work with our participants. Furthermore, you are secure and relationship-building, which for us means that you are open and humble regarding the participants' life situations. We also believe that you need to be collaborative to fit the role, demonstrated by contributing to a good collaborative climate and being curious and interested in other operations within the unit and the municipality.
