We are now looking for a sensitive and dedicated personal assistant for a man in his 40s who is completely paralyzed after a car accident. The client lives in a quiet villa area in Nyköping in an area called Harg. A driver's license is a requirement for this position. The client is fully communicative, expresses his own needs, and is clear about how he wants his daily life to function. As an assistant, you work closely with the client, follow his instructions, and provide support in all aspects of daily life. Personal chemistry and cooperation between the client and assistants are crucial for daily life to function well. About the Position In the role of personal assistant, you help the client with, among other things: • Personal care • Dressing and undressing • Transfers using a ceiling lift • Catheter management (introduction and training provided) • Exercise and daily routines at home • Household chores Double assistance occurs during parts of the day. The work requires security, precision, and good teamwork skills. We are looking for someone who is: • Sensitive – you can listen, show understanding, and have good empathy • Adaptable and social – you are easygoing, social, and can adapt to different situations • Interested and a team player – you have the desire to learn, take responsibility, and function well in a group • Confident in yourself and comfortable working closely with the client and following clear instructions • Have good Swedish in speech and writing • Have a B-driver's license and the ability to get to the workplace in Nyköping as well as drive the client's car for work Previous experience with personal assistance, care/elderly care, and knowledge of lifts and catheters is meritorious but not a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Working Hours We are looking for someone who can work three nights every other week and fill in when needed. We may hire more than one person if we find several good candidates.
