The Centre for Multilingual Learning (CFL) is a joint municipal school organization. We work based on the City of Borås' vision for preschool and school: Desire to learn - opportunity to succeed.

CFL is responsible for the reception and mapping of newly arrived students. We are also responsible for mother tongue instruction and study guidance, which are carried out at the various schools.

We are currently looking for three mother tongue teachers in the following languages:

• Tagalog (Filipino)
• Punjabi
• Bengali

As a mother tongue teacher, your role involves planning, conducting, and following up on your teaching based on current regulatory documents. You document students' development and results in written assessments and grades. You collaborate with teachers in work teams at CFL and at the schools where you teach. The position may also include study guidance for students in the relevant mother tongue.

The mother tongue teachers have a mandatory common meeting time every Tuesday, where we alternate between competence development, workplace meetings, and work team meetings. During competence development and work team meetings, we learn from each other and solve challenges together. You are expected to continuously develop your own teaching but also contribute to the development of the rest of the operations by participating in various development processes.

We are looking for you who have a Swedish teacher's license in the subject of mother tongue in Tagalog (Filipino), Punjabi, or Bengali, or other education assessed as equivalent. You have documented teaching experience and are good at building good relationships in the contexts you work in. You have good administrative skills as well as good linguistic skills in both speech and writing in the mother tongue as well as Swedish. You have documented good knowledge of Swedish. You have knowledge of the Swedish school system, curriculum, and grading system. In collaboration with other staff, you create an environment where students can develop a desire to learn and are given the opportunity to succeed. Personal suitability is highly valued. A driver's license and car are considered a merit as the work is often located at different schools in the City of Borås.
