We are a cheerful team consisting of approximately 90 nurses, one doctor, two administrators, and three unit managers. The unit in Kristianstad where you will be located is situated in bright, fresh premises near the hospital. We also have a centrally located office in Malmö where our other two units are based.

1177 by phone is a national service that operates around the clock in all of Sweden's regions. We primarily serve the citizens of Skåne, but also answer calls from other regions.

Job Responsibilities

Here, you will work in a helpful and supportive team where everyone has different backgrounds and competencies. As a nurse, you will primarily work with telephone advice, perform qualified medical assessments, provide self-care advice, and refer callers to the appropriate level of care. In your work, you have access to symptom-based decision support where you follow a well-structured conversation process. In the conversations, you as a nurse can also connect via video or receive images sent to you, which facilitates the assessment.

The position involves day, evening, and night shifts, and we work two weekends out of five. We work with a preference schedule that runs over 15 weeks, allowing you to influence your schedule. There is an opportunity to work remotely, via a home office, once you have gained experience and can work independently. We value that you have a good working environment, where you can feel secure in keeping up with your tasks, performing adequately, and finishing your shift on time.

It is important to us to create the best possible conditions so that our nurses feel secure in their roles. Therefore, you are offered continuous training with medical lectures every other week. As a new employee, you are offered a comprehensive induction program with both theoretical and practical training over four weeks. You also have a personal supervisor to support and guide you in your work.

Qualifications

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Additionally, it is a requirement for the position that you have previous experience working as a nurse, where we would like to see that you have experience in making assessments. Since large parts of the work are performed digitally, good computer skills are also a prerequisite for the position. It is an advantage if you are comfortable holding conversations in English.

You have commitment and the ability to motivate and inspire your colleagues, as well as to get everyone to work towards the organization's common goals. Furthermore, you are guided by goal- and result-oriented thinking in your priorities and actions, and you have an easy time structuring your work. For this position, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
