As a Communication Specialist, you will become part of the communications unit within the City Management Office – a professional and engaged team of twelve communicators led by the Communications Manager. We work in Lidingö City Hall and are located in the very center of action, where development and important decisions are shaped.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Communication Specialist with broad experience in creating engaging content in both analog and digital formats. You will work with planning, producing, and publishing text, images, and video in the municipality's various channels.

You will handle complex issues and large amounts of information, and based on briefs, plan activities and concepts for communication, acting as an advisor and sounding board for the development of communication activities. You will independently project-manage and coordinate communication activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in communication, journalism, or equivalent education that we assess as comparable.
• Has several years of experience planning, producing, and publishing communication for different channels and target groups.
• Has experience in production management, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Is a good writer with excellent Swedish skills in both speech and writing.
• Has a strong ability to explain complex contexts and is accustomed to writing, adapting, and publishing content for various channels.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Knowledge of CMS tools such as Sitevision, WordPress.
• Experience in interviewing and writing feature stories.
• Experience acting as an editor for a magazine or newsletter.
• Knowledge of video editing software such as After Effects, Adobe Premiere, or similar.
• We would appreciate if you are confident in photography, creating simple video material, and visual content.

You need to be a structured and self-motivated person who can prioritize and plan your work. The role involves many contact points and collaboration in different groups, so you must enjoy working with others. To succeed in the role, you also need to be able to work proactively, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have an interest in societal issues.
