The Social Services Department is responsible for authority exercises, ordering of measures, and own management within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. Your Responsibilities

In the role of support assistant, you support the client in their daily life. You are responsible for structuring and planning their daily life together with the individual, as well as jointly designing the measures provided. The extent and content of the measures are always based on the individual's needs and are established through an implementation plan. Measures can include support in various contexts to manage daily living, such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and providing care support. The support and help you provide are given with respect for the individual's self-determination, integrity, participation, and by supporting the individual's confidence in their own abilities.

The work involves offering and motivating activities, social community, and engagement supported by motivational interviewing (MI) and a pedagogical approach. You may also support the individual in contacts with authorities and, if necessary, accompany the individual to activities.

The operation's working method is ESL (An Independent Life) and IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center), where the goal is for the individual to manage daily life with a high quality of life. We work based on a low-affective approach characterized by calmness and positive expectations of the individual, with the aim of reducing stress and problem-causing behavior. Keeping social documentation and actively working with follow-up of implementation plans is part of the work. The work is meaningful and varied.

Your Workplace

The LSS Department within the Social Services Department is responsible for support for people over 21 years old within social psychiatry and according to LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Within the department, we have employees with broad experience and competence, distributed across several operations. Within social psychiatry, we work with individuals with mental and/or neuropsychiatric functional variations, as well as substance abuse issues.

Adamstorpsvägen is a residence for people with neuropsychiatric functional impairments. The residence consists of 10 apartments located on Adamstorpsvägen in Ljungsbro. Ljungsbro is located approximately 1.5 miles outside Linköping, and you can get here with good bus connections, with the operation located a short walk from the bus stop.

The work group consists of six colleagues with varied backgrounds, most of whom are housing support workers or support educators. We are currently looking for two new colleagues who want to become part of our wonderful team. The positions are temporary assignments at 100% from 2026-08-10 to 2027-01-15, and the working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call duty.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant, caregiver, or have equivalent education as assessed by the employer, as well as previous experience working in support, care, and social services. If you have experience in psychiatry and/or neuropsychiatry, we consider it meritorious. Experience working with substance abuse issues, self-harm behavior, and/or social work is also considered meritorious. We work based on ESL (An Independent Life), IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center), motivational interviewing (MI), low-affective approach, and pedagogical approach, and knowledge in these areas is considered meritorious.

Good Swedish skills, both spoken and written, are required, as well as computer proficiency, as we use language as a work tool in contact with clients and for documentation and record keeping. Previous experience with documentation and drawing up implementation plans is considered meritorious. A B-class driver's license is meritorious for the position.
