Description

Björktjära School is currently seeking a teacher for instruction in Swedish and Social Studies (SO) for grades 4–6. The position is a permanent full-time employment. The start date is August 2026 or by agreement.

Björktjära School is a preschool to grade 6 school with highly qualified teaching staff and approximately 305 students. The school is located in central Bollnäs, close to forests and recreational areas. The staff is organized into three different work teams and units that collaborate closely around the students. The facilities are nice and modernly equipped. The outdoor environment is appealing for play, sports, and other creative activities. We have four after-school care departments with approximately 155 students.

Responsibilities

As a primary school teacher, you will teach Swedish and Social Studies in grades 4–6 at Björktjära School, starting in grade 4 during the autumn term.

In addition to teaching, you will plan, conduct, evaluate, and analyze the pedagogical work in accordance with the curriculum and current regulatory documents.

Through collaboration with other staff at the school, you will also work towards the school's development and strive to create a good environment for both students and staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach Swedish and Social Studies in grades 4–6.

Particular emphasis is placed on personal qualities, such as the ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and other adults, as well as being a good role model in other respects. You are a person who is positive, flexible, and able to work with low affectivity when necessary, which is a prerequisite when working with children. You find it easy to make quick and well-considered decisions and act accordingly. Given the diversity in our school, we consider it important that you value differences and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others.
