Job Responsibilities

In the role of teacher, you teach and work with a student group that is being prepared for work within one of the vocational areas of the Child and Youth Program during their upper secondary education. Your role, in addition to teaching, is to support the students as a mentor by understanding their needs, following their studies, and being involved in the goal of them achieving their upper secondary diploma. You have experience and a good ability to collaborate with teachers, student health services, working life, and home environments for the benefit of the student.

As part of this position, you will also be part of a larger whole where we, together on the Child and Youth Program, work to ensure that students reach their full potential both in school and in their professional practice. You should be clear and structured. Additionally, you need good social competence, be flexible, have great patience, and be persistent. You need the ability to motivate and persuade, as well as find new paths and solutions to help students reach their goals. To work with young people, it is important that you are a role model and a boundary-setting adult.

As a teacher at Burgården Upper Secondary School, you may also have the opportunity to teach on other programs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching license and eligibility to teach mathematics and natural sciences at the upper secondary level.

To succeed in the role of teacher on the Child and Youth Program, you have several years of experience in similar work and feel confident in your professional practice. We see that you have previously worked within upper secondary education. As a teacher, you have patience and understanding for the different prerequisites of all individuals. You are also skilled at finding individualized solutions so that the student can reach their goals. As a colleague, you are flexible and self-sufficient, but also thrive working in a team with other colleagues. You are passionate about helping students structure their work and develop their potential.
