Do you want to work in an operation where logistics, material control, and maintenance play a crucial role in a functioning public transport system? We are now looking for an experienced Material Controller for a company within rail-bound traffic.

In this role, you will become an important part of the purchasing and logistics function, working closely with various parts of the business to ensure efficient material supply to the maintenance production.

As a Material Controller, you are responsible for basic and developmental tasks within material control and warehouse supply. You work to create optimal conditions for efficient maintenance production based on existing agreements and the company's goals.

The responsibilities include, among other things:

• Calculate reorder points, safety stock, and other material control parameters
• Develop material flows and control for consumables and repairable components
• Identify repairable items for preventive maintenance
• Monitor and track supplier delivery performance
• Administer and follow up on the processing of repairable components in the maintenance system
• Develop and follow up on forecasts and plans together with other functions within the vehicle operations
• Identify areas for improvement and drive actions
• Participate in and drive investigations as well as the development of systems and working methods

You will belong to the purchasing and logistics function within the Vehicle Production Unit, which consists of approximately 280 employees with competence in technology, administration, purchasing, logistics, and maintenance.

Our client is a state-owned Swedish company that operates passenger rail traffic under market-based conditions. The operations include both domestic and cross-border train traffic through several companies within the group.

• Scope of assignment: Full-time, 100%
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment as a consultant via JobBusters.
• Work model: The position is located in Älvsjö, but travel to their other depot locations in Södertälje and Bro is included.
• Start: As soon as possible.
• End: 2026-10-31, with the ambition to transition into direct employment with the client in the long run, provided the collaboration works well for both parties.

To be successful in this role, you need

• Several years of experience in material supply, purchasing, and logistics in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• A university degree in Purchasing, Logistics, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in material control, logistics, and processing flows
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• You are business-minded, structured, and have an easy time collaborating with many different contact points
• Meritorious: Experience with maintenance systems such as Maximo
• Meritorious: Experience from vehicle maintenance or rail-bound traffic
• Meritorious: Knowledge in electrical and traffic safety as well as vehicle administration
