Description of Duties
As a teacher in mathematics, physics, and technology, you teach students in grades 7–9 and become part of a positive and competent subject team. You will work together with experienced and driven colleagues in mathematics, physics, and technology, providing good opportunities for collaboration, idea exchange, and collegial learning.
At von Bahrs School, we work with smaller student groups in mathematics. This gives our students the opportunity to perform at their level based on their individual prerequisites and creates better conditions for meeting each student where they are. This working method contributes to increased study environment and ensures that students receive the support or challenges they need to progress as far as possible in their knowledge development.
In the role of teacher, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching according to the curriculum and other governing documents. With the student in focus, you create a secure, structured, and motivating learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to succeed based on their individual prerequisites. Mentoring is included in the position.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have teacher certification with eligibility to teach mathematics, physics, and technology up to grade 9. The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We would appreciate it if you have experience with language-developing methods and working in digital systems such as Unikum, Skola 24, and Microsoft 365.
As a person, you are pedagogical and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You adapt your way of explaining and visualizing content so that the knowledge becomes understandable. Furthermore, you collaborate well with colleagues in both work teams and subject teams, contribute to joint planning, and communicate attentively to find constructive solutions. Through your social and professional approach, you create secure and sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and you build a learning environment where students feel seen, motivated, and curious about mathematics and technology.
