Welcome to Fågelvik School!
We are looking for you who are a special needs teacher (speciallärare) and want to help shape the education and teaching for our students, together with colleagues in the student health team, safety team, work groups, and our special teaching groups.

Fågelvik School is a newly renovated upper secondary school (grades 7–9) with approximately 350 students.
Tibro Municipality, with 11,000 inhabitants, is located in the northern part of Västra Götaland County. Job Description
Together with colleagues, you have an important task to create the conditions for accessible teaching for our students. We operate from the premise that the student does not is, but becomes in a context. You thrive by guiding students in their learning through flexible and adapted solutions based on individual needs and abilities.
As a special needs teacher, you are part of the resource team and the student health service.
You have a collaborative approach and see benefits in learning from each other so that all students can achieve the best possible knowledge results.
The role involves working preventively to remove obstacles in different learning environments and being a support for students and student groups. You also support teaching teachers in matters related to leadership and stimulation, extra adaptations, and special support. In your work, you collaborate with the school's student health team and work groups.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and planning teaching in our resource unit together with the team leader and special educator.
- Planning, conducting, assessing, and following up on teaching for individual students/groups who are in need of special support based on identified needs – this is done in collaboration with the responsible and grading teacher.
- Supporting teachers in designing teaching strategies and adaptations based on students' needs, in cooperation with the special educator.
- Together with teachers, observing students in need of special support and subsequently discussing and analyzing interventions.
- Participating in pedagogical mapping and investigations – work that is done in collaboration with the special educator.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher, have good pedagogical and didactic skills, and can successfully organize and lead teaching at both individual and group levels.
You are interested in working to develop the school by addressing improvement issues regarding student health work and have a holistic thinking in your solution-oriented approach.
You have the ability to create good and sustainable professional relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians with the aim of contributing to an inclusive school environment for our students.
It is meritorious if you have several years of experience in similar work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Overarching aspects characterizing the approach of special needs teachers:
- Work to ensure that a professional and ethical approach characterizes all activities at the school.
- Base planning, implementation, and evaluation on the student's best interests and have high positive expectations of students to contribute to increased goal fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with students.
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
