Job Description

As a researcher in theoretical quantum materials, you will have significant opportunities to influence your collaborations and research projects independently. At the same time, you are expected to collaborate with Thomas Klein Kvorning and other researchers associated with his research program.

Some of the research areas currently being actively explored within the research program include the characterization of topological quantum materials using "local markers," the characterization of quantum dynamics using "information lattice" techniques, the development of algorithms that exploit the decoupling between local and long-range quantum entanglement, and the characterization of quantum chaos in Lindblad dynamics.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A completed PhD degree or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a PhD in theoretical physics, quantum materials, or a related field, which should be completed or expected to be completed shortly.
• Documented independent scientific proficiency in quantum materials.
• Good teamwork skills.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Documented research experience regarding the local distribution of quantum information in many-particle quantum systems ("the information lattice").
• Documented research experience regarding local topological observables ("local topological markers").
• Teaching ability.
• Ability to promote the practical application of research results.
• Ability to communicate research and development work.
• Experience in developing and leading operations and personnel.
• Knowledge of diversity and equal treatment issues, with a special focus on gender equality.

Application
