What does the role involve?

The role involves independently working with supervision of smaller licensed environmentally hazardous operations, where you review and handle environmental reports and ensure that operations comply with current environmental regulations. You will also handle incoming cases regarding these operations and process applications for permits or notifications for waste transport.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has

• at least 3 years of higher education in the field of environment and health protection or similar,
• a couple of years of relevant work experience,
• good ability to express yourself in speech and writing,
• a driver's license, category B.

You have a solution-oriented approach and see opportunities even in challenging situations. At the same time, you are a secure and positive person who finds it easy to collaborate and build good relationships within a team.

• have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.

It is meritorious if you

• have studied a course or education on the Environmental Code,
• have experience with supervision of environmentally hazardous operations.

About us and the role

The position is located in the Environment Department with approximately 130 employees. You will belong to the Environmental Protection Unit, which is one of six units in the department. On the unit, you will have 27 engaged colleagues.

We work in centrally located premises in Stockholm. Possibility for remote work exists based on the needs of the operations.

Our tasks and assignments involve both regulatory enforcement, promotional activities, and administrative duties.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 1 year.
