Do you want to use your ecological expertise in an assignment where you can influence how grasslands can be developed into more flower-rich and biologically valuable environments? In this role, you will support a municipal operation in building knowledge about which species exist in different grasslands and how maintenance can be adapted to benefit plants and insects over time.

You will step into an assignment with clear social benefit, focusing on producing a preliminary study ahead of future inventories. The work combines method development, analysis of existing GIS data, and strategic recommendations for long-term environmental monitoring and maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity for you who want to work closely with biodiversity issues and contribute recommendations that can have a concrete effect in urban environments.

• You analyze which inventory methods for plants and insects are best suited for different types of grasslands.
• You prioritize which areas should be inventoried with the support of existing GIS data, such as pollination plans, historical maps, and maintenance maps.
• You develop proposals for maintenance strategies that increase flowering and benefit insects throughout the season, adapted to the type of grassland.
• You propose a method for long-term environmental monitoring of plants and potentially insects.
• You compile the preliminary study in report form and deliver the associated GIS data.

• At least 5 years of experience in the ecological field.
• Previous experience with similar assignments.
• Experience with issues concerning grasslands as well as the inventory of plants and insects.
• Experience using GIS data as support in the analysis and prioritization of areas.
• You communicate fluently in Swedish.

• Experience with grasslands in the Stockholm area.
