We are moving into newly renovated premises centrally in Knivsta at the start of the school year. AST is a small municipal group of approximately 25-30 students, for grades 4-9, with 11 staff members who all have extensive experience and specialized knowledge within NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders). Teaching takes place largely in our own premises, with some activities held at Thunmanskolan and the Health House.

We have our own student health team and a special needs teacher.

DUTIES

We are looking for an engaged and responsible employee who wants to be part of our team in our municipal autism spectrum activity, which is moving from Adolfsbergsskolan to Valloxskolan (own premises) this autumn.

With us, you will have the opportunity to develop within a future-oriented profession and work in a meaningful and varied work environment. The position is a combined role including LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) leisure activities.

In our activity, you work with young people who have various functional variations, primarily within the autism spectrum. You work actively for the students' participation and adapt your working methods based on their needs to help them reach as far as possible.

The position is divided into two parts: Both parts concern the same students and are carried out in the school's premises.

During school hours, you act as support for students during lessons, at breaks, participate in some planning, relieve teachers, and collaborate with teachers and other resources. After school hours, we run LSS leisure activities for our students where you, together with other colleagues, plan and carry out various activities with the students. By autumn, we expect to have 7 students in need of leisure care.

Our LSS leisure activity is important to give our students the opportunity for the support they need to live as independent and active a life as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and a great interest in working with students within autism spectrum conditions, NPD, and intellectual disability (ID) is desirable. You are positive and see more than one way to conquer new skills as something natural.

We are looking for you who have education within the Care and Nursing program with a focus on disability, or the Child and Youth program with a focus on pedagogical and social work, or alternatively other education that the employer considers suitable. It is meritorious with experience and knowledge within low-affective handling and a pedagogical background, as well as experience from work within LSS activities.

You must master the Swedish language both orally and in writing, as well as have basic computer skills. As a person, you are responsible, have a respectful approach, are calm and confident in yourself. You have good cooperation skills and can work both independently and in a group.

You should be able to take responsibility and plan your work independently. You are flexible and receptive in your working methods and can contribute to a positive work climate. You should have the students' needs at the center and have a professional approach towards students, guardians, and colleagues.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and relevant competence.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
