About the role
This role is very important as you will have significant opportunities to influence a substantial part of Axis's total costs, thereby making a major difference to the business and the company's continued success.
Who will be your future team?
The Axis Manufacturing Capacity and Cost team contributes strongly to the company's success by developing the network of manufacturing partners and ensuring cost efficiency as well as continuous improvements in purchasing costs. Your responsibility will be to ensure the right cost level for Axis products by identifying opportunities and driving cost reductions together with the company's contract manufacturers in close collaboration with your colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for negotiating and approving product cost quotes from Axis contract manufacturers throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Identify and drive cost-reducing activities towards contract manufacturers through analysis of quote data and understanding of relevant cost drivers.
- Collaborate closely with contract manufacturers to ensure that negotiated component prices are implemented in product quotes in a timely manner.
- Analyze and maintain product and component databases from internal and external sources, and create benchmarking materials for price reduction work.
- Support RFQ processes for new products and contribute input regarding product cost structure and cost drivers to the product development organization.
- Monitor and optimize parameters that affect purchasing costs at contract manufacturers, such as order volumes, demand changes, and delivery terms.
- Contribute to improvements in processes and IT tools within the area of responsibility, both independently and in collaboration with other functions.
We are looking for someone who has
- A degree in Industrial Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
- At least two years of experience in supply chain/sourcing from international manufacturing companies.
- Experience in analyzing large amounts of data.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office.
- Very good proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have
- Experience working in ERP systems.
- Knowledge of business culture in different parts of the world, which will be a great advantage in the role.

Scope: Full-time
Location: Lund, travel may occur.
About the assignment: You will be employed by Academic Work on a consultancy assignment extending to the end of June 2027. If the collaboration works well for both parties, there is an opportunity for extension thereafter.
