Cook or School Meal Assistant for Rimforsa School

Do you want to work with food that makes a difference – every day? Kinda Municipality is primarily looking for a cook, alternatively a school meal assistant, for the kitchen at Rimforsa School. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the students' health, well-being, and learning through good, nutritious meals in a secure school environment.

About the Role

As a cook/school meal assistant at Rimforsa School, you will work with school meals for students in lower and middle school. The role includes responsibility for preparing and serving lunch, as well as preparing salads, breakfast, and snacks. The work is done in close collaboration with other employees in the kitchen.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, the tasks can be adapted, with greater responsibility for cooking and planning if you are a trained cook.

The current employment level is 60%, with the possibility of extension if the operations' needs change, for example, due to staff changes.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and/or serving of nutritious and balanced school meals
• Preparation of salad buffet, breakfast, and snacks
• Ensure good hygiene, food safety, and order in the kitchen
• Provide a good and professional attitude towards students and colleagues
• Contribute to a well-functioning and positive collaboration in the kitchen team

Qualifications

• Cooking education or documented experience as a cook is meritorious
• Experience working in a school kitchen or large-scale kitchen is meritorious
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Service-oriented, flexible, and responsible
