We at the Payroll Unit are an engaged team that supports and backs each other up daily. Together, we are responsible for the entire payroll process from start to finish and continuously work on developing and streamlining our methods and processes.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will have an independent and varied role with significant personal responsibility. You will work both operationally and with a focus on development, and among other things, you will work in the systems Medvind and Personec P.

The Role

Below are some of the tasks included in the role of Payroll Specialist with us:

• Provide support and answer payroll-related questions from employees and managers via telephone and case management systems
• Continuous controls and adjustments to ensure correct payroll payments
• Process cases in e-services
• Interpretation/application of collective agreements and current laws
• Initiate improvements/development work together with colleagues
• Stay up to date with developments and changes within the field
• Continuously plan and hold training sessions for employees and managers
• Be responsible for a specific area of responsibility

Otherwise, it involves all common tasks performed in a payroll unit.

Challenges and Opportunities

In 2025, we implemented Personec P with integration against Medvind, and the first salary was paid out on October 25, 2025. The work to ensure that we use the system with all its functions fully is ongoing. The goal is for all operations to receive comprehensive system support and that it should be easy to do the right thing regardless of role.

What you need to bring with you

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education within payroll or other education/experience deemed equivalent
• Several years of experience working with HR/payroll systems and a good understanding of the entire payroll process
• Good knowledge of labor law, collective agreements, and regulations related to payroll management

To thrive and succeed in the role, you are solution-oriented and take initiative for improvements when working methods need development. You are collaborative, work without hierarchy, and contribute to good cooperation within the team and towards the business. You work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize your work well, and ensure quality and order regarding documentation and routines.

We consider it meritorious if you have experience from work in municipal or other politically directed operations. It is also meritorious if you have practical experience with the case management system Easit, experience working in Medvind and/or Personec P, and if you have experience using AI as support in certain work tasks.

The Payroll Unit is a unit under the HR Department. We provide information, advice, and support to create security for employees and managers in the organization, which in turn means they can devote all their energy to their mission.

Together, we ensure a functional and secure payroll function where the process from the first day of employment, through the ongoing employment to termination, functions as functionally, securely, and smoothly as possible for managers, employees, and payroll specialists.

You will be part of a team consisting of 7 employees and one manager. Here, there is an opportunity to work from home part of the week based on operational needs and in dialogue with the manager.

The position is also included in our annual working time agreement, which largely means that you to some extent can control your own working time as long as the operation is not negatively affected.
