Primary Care Centre Östergötland consists of 33 region-run health centres, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the Child Health Centre, 1177 and emergency clinics in the evenings and weekends, and the General Practice Education Centre. We provide a broad primary care service, offering care to everyone throughout their lives; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients in the final stages of life.

Cityhälsan Centrum Health Centre is centrally located on the old hospital site in Norrköping.

Here you will find a practice with approximately 14,100 registered patients in an average population and nearly 60 permanent staff members.

At our centre, you work in interprofessional teams where collaboration and continuity are central. We have four larger teams at the health centre, and since this spring, smaller teams as well, where each doctor has their own nurse. This creates good conditions for close cooperation, continuity in patient care, and a working style where we utilize each other's competencies. With a stable basic structure in the practice, you will also receive good support in your daily work.

We also have several specializations, including an elderly care clinic, and we are an HBTQI-certified health centre. This reflects our ambition to offer inclusive, high-quality care and a workplace where different perspectives and needs are taken seriously. This gives you a varied daily routine, a stimulating pace, and close collaboration with many different professions.

We are an IBH health centre (IBH = Integrated Behavioral Health), which means collaboration between doctors, psychologists, rehabilitation coordinators, and nurses, benefiting both patients and staff. The goal is to work together across the entire health centre to increase the functional level and quality of life for many patients, as well as to enhance patients' ability to manage their symptoms and avoid over-medicalization.

Job Description

We now have the opportunity to appoint a permanent nurse.

As a nurse at the health centre, you have a varied job, as the broad mandate of the health centre means you encounter many different types of people and ailments. Telephone advice is the most important entry point for our patients, and we need good accessibility for the entire health centre to function. Telephone advice is therefore one of the most important functions we have at the health centre and is thus one of the nurse's tasks. We want all nurses to develop and maintain competence in telephone advice, although the proportion of this task may vary within the overall role.

In addition to telephone advice, we also have a nurse-led clinic, where you, for example, measure blood pressure, provide wound care, manage urinary catheters and central lines, and more. As a nurse with us, the role also includes being a resource nurse, where the nurse, in collaboration with the resource doctor and resource assistant nurse, handles acute cases occurring at the health centre. Two mornings a week, we have a light emergency clinic staffed by a doctor and a nurse who, in collaboration, handle booked patients. There is also an opportunity to gradually become involved in one of our specialist clinics. One of the specialist clinics is our elderly care clinic, which we already wish to strengthen.

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse/district nurse and have an interest in primary care. Primary care experience and district nurse education are meritorious. Particularly meritorious is interest in and experience of working with our elderly at the elderly care clinic.

You are a positive person with great flexibility and who finds it easy to collaborate. You are engaged and interested in primary care. You enjoy being part of a larger context, and in your professional role, you are empathetic and value good relationships with other people. You are also a person with good structure and prioritization skills.
