We work with a conscious focus on quality and professionalism to make every day as good as possible for the residents of Linköping who need us.

Strategic Leader in Patient Safety

Do you want to help develop the future municipal primary care? As a medically responsible nurse (MAS) in Linköping Municipality, you will play a central role in strengthening quality, patient safety, and development within care and support.

Your Responsibilities

As an MAS, you work at a comprehensive level to ensure, monitor, and develop quality and patient safety within the municipality's primary care. The assignment covers both the Health and Social Care Administration's and the Social Services Administration's operations, as well as operations conducted by private providers on behalf of the municipality.

A central part of the assignment is to ensure the governance of health and medical care by developing and managing directives and governing documents that support safe and equal care.

An important part of the assignment is to monitor, review, and analyze the operations' results to identify areas for development. Through systematic monitoring and analysis, you identify risks and areas for improvement and contribute to strengthening patient safety and the quality of care.

In the role, you are responsible, among other things, for:

  • leading and developing systematic patient safety work
  • monitoring quality and patient safety within municipal operations and private providers
  • analyzing results, risks, and deviations and initiating improvement measures
  • ensuring that laws, regulations, and national requirements are followed
  • developing and managing governing documents within the health and medical care sector
  • being responsible for Lex Maria processes and reports to IVO (Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate)
  • providing expert support to management, operations, and committees in health and medical care matters

You work closely with other MASs, the medically responsible person for rehabilitation (MAR), and development leaders. Together, you contribute different competencies to develop quality, patient safety, and evidence-based care. The role also involves close collaboration with operations within the municipality, Region Östergötland, private providers, and other external actors. You also represent the municipality in regional and national networks.

Your Workplace

You will belong to the Strategic Health and Medical Care unit within the Agreements and Quality department. Here, MAS, MAR, and development leaders work together with a focus on quality, patient safety, and operational development. We are a unit with high competence where close collaboration, knowledge exchange, and a flat organizational structure are a natural part of everyday life, and where we use each other's competencies to achieve the best results.

Who You Are

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with experience in municipal primary care and good knowledge of the legislation and regulations governing municipal care and support.

It is meritorious if you have experience in quality, development, or investigation work, have worked in a leading or strategic function, or have relevant further education in the field.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to switch between strategic perspectives and operationally close issues. You have good analytical skills, work in a structured manner, and easily create trusting relationships and collaborations.

As an MAS, you have an important leading function within the municipality. Therefore, we are looking for you who are secure both in your profession and as a person. You have high integrity, can make independent assessments even in complex situations, and have the courage to stand up for quality, patient safety, and current regulations. You communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have the ability to create engagement, trust, and consensus in matters concerning the quality and development of care.

Tests and work samples may be applied in this recruitment process. We look forward to your application!
