Your responsibilities

An experienced employee wishes to try a different assignment, and we are therefore recruiting a replacement for our current short-term care unit. We are therefore looking for a new occupational therapy colleague for the health and medical care organization of the Care and Social Services Administration.

As an occupational therapist, you work with the patient's needs at the center, with the aim of enabling the individual to live as independently as possible. You are responsible for assessments, personal prescription of assistive devices, and rehabilitation of patients residing in care homes/short-term care. You work both independently and in close collaboration with physiotherapists and other professions, such as nurses and care staff, as well as other actors. The work consists of varied tasks and patient groups, which provides opportunities for variety and challenges in the work. The work also includes documentation and administration. Working hours are during daytime, Monday-Friday.

Your workplace

Occupational therapists within the Care and Social Services Administration work within health care and are active in both open care forms and care homes. This position targets the municipality's care homes/short-term care, where our primary mission is to offer the municipality's citizens quality-assured care within the rehabilitation area. In our operations, several different professions work, such as nurses, assistant nurses with various specialist training, as well as physiotherapists and other occupational therapists.

The current placement will be within short-term care, where you as an occupational therapist contribute to effective rehabilitation and enable patients to return home after a hospital stay. As an occupational therapist, you will have the opportunity not only to perform meaningful work but also to be an active part of a larger work group that promotes knowledge exchange and development.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist or alternatively awaiting your license. We would like you to have experience with the target group of elderly people and/or previous experience working as an occupational therapist. We view it as very positive if you have previous experience in municipal short-term care and experience working with people with cognitive disease, orthopedics, or neurology.

The work involves a lot of patient contact and documentation, which means we have a requirement that you can communicate well orally and in writing in Swedish. You are computer literate and preferably have experience documenting in medical record systems, such as Treserva. Having a B-driver's license for manual transmission and being able to cycle is a requirement as we drive cars and cycle during work.

We are looking for you who are driven in your work and can plan and prioritize your tasks independently. You have a flexible working style and can adapt based on the operation's needs and changes. In your meetings with patients and colleagues, you are solution-focused and receptive, and have a professional attitude. You find it easy to collaborate with others but can also take your own initiatives and are involved in the development of the operation.
