About the workplace

Rambergsskolan is a school for grades F-6 and is one of Gothenburg City's oldest schools, inaugurated as early as 1916. The school is located next to Ramberget and Keillers Park, areas that students often visit as part of our pedagogical work. We are close to large green areas with mountains, play areas, and football fields.

The school has been renovated to be accessible for various functional variations. We have new group rooms, fresh classrooms, and refurbished corridors and cafeteria. Additionally, the schoolyard has undergone a major transformation from an asphalt wasteland to an active play environment. Students have influenced which play activities should be present through the student council and leisure center council. Favorites include the zip line, trampolines, balance boards, king cubes, swings, basketball, and our football arena.

The school building is listed as a cultural heritage site and is part of Gothenburg City's program for preserving culturally and historically valuable buildings.

Rambergsskolan has nine leisure center departments with students from preschool class to grade six.

Job Description

Do you want to help shape an inspiring and creative leisure center activity for our youngest students? We are now looking for a qualified, curious, and engaged colleague for one of our two leisure center departments in the preschool class.

As a leisure center teacher, you will play a central role in developing an activity where students' curiosity, creativity, and learning are in focus. You are responsible for the pedagogical work and have great opportunities to influence both content and methods.

You work closely with leisure center leaders, teaching assistants, and student assistants to create a safe, stimulating, and developmental environment for the students. The assignment also includes responsibility for systematic quality work on the department, where you get the opportunity to drive development and contribute your ideas.

Our activity is based on national guidelines and the central content for leisure centers, but we would like you to explore, challenge, and find new ways to make learning alive and meaningful for the students.

In addition to the above duties, you are also expected to:

• Work so that all students succeed in their education.
• Be part of a work team where you, together with colleagues, are responsible for teaching at the leisure center.
• Lead the interaction between students and teachers.
• Be an active part of the school's development work, such as digital development, increased goal fulfillment, and leadership at the leisure center department.
• Have a special responsibility to strengthen teaching at the leisure center in collaboration with educators based on the curriculum.
• Work with safety and study peace for the students' well-being.
• Work with teaching that stimulates students' development, learning, and movement, and offers a meaningful leisure time.
• Shape teaching according to the student's needs (extra adjustments).
• Meet parents both didactically and informatively.
• Work based on pedagogical mapping and follow up on action plans together with a special needs educator.
• Handle reports of offensive treatment, investigations, reporting, and handle conflicts that may arise between students.
• Be a "sounding board" for colleagues – collaboration is a natural way of working for us.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified leisure center teacher.

You have the ability to create good relationships with the students and maintain safety and community at the leisure center. You use a range of methods to include all students and are willing to try and constantly review your methodology to meet the needs of the student group.

You use the outdoor environment in students' learning and have good digital competence.

You have the ability to collaborate in different constellations and come up with your own initiatives to solve problems. You meet each student based on their prerequisites, and your ability to start from the student's individual situation to develop social and knowledge-based skills is important. Your attitude shows that you have strong faith that all students do the right thing if they can.

Furthermore, you are curious and willing to work based on the business idea developed in our business goals and annual calendar, and you are both brave and unpretentious enough to continue developing it together with us.
