Murgårdsskolan is located centrally in Sandviken and is close to everything, including nature. Göransson Arena, Ferrum Arena, and Parkbadet are within walking distance. For the school year 26/27, Murgårdsskolan will be a grades 3-9 school, with approximately 300 students in grades 3-6.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a Student Coach; the position is a temporary substitute role during the school year 26/27. As a Student Coach, you play an important role in motivating, supporting, and helping students during the school day. You are available as support in various study situations and during breaks to promote both knowledge development and social development. You serve as a role model and contribute to creating conditions for good attendance and safety. The role involves close collaboration with teachers and contact with guardians. You will be part of the school's safety team.

You contribute by:

• Being a support for students in teaching and during breaks
• Creating trusting relationships and promoting safety
• Motivating and inspiring students to learn and attend school
• Collaborating with teachers and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's safety work

• Sharing knowledge and experiences
• Supporting each other in challenges
• Working together for the students' best interests

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, personal maturity and a professional approach are required. As a Student Coach, you encounter students in various situations, making it important to be secure and stable with good self-awareness, and able to distinguish between the personal and professional. Flexibility is crucial as daily life can change quickly, and seeing opportunities in new situations is a strength. The role is built on collaboration, listening, communicating, and resolving conflicts constructively.

Requirements for the assignment:

• University education in pedagogy, behavioral science, or other equivalent education
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written

Experience working with children and young people in need of special support, as well as experience from working in a school environment, is meritorious.
