ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Inre Kraft are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant in a fixed part-time position with our client, who lives within walking distance of central Luleå. You will work weekdays and every other weekend.

The working hours are as follows:

• 08:00-17:00

Start date is by agreement, and we would be happy if you could start the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his mid-80s who lives with his wife. He has an active lifestyle and enjoys dining out, going out for coffee, and watching sports on TV. He also enjoys long walks and likes to strengthen his body through exercise, where he receives encouragement and support from both you as his assistant and our physiotherapist. After suffering a stroke, he is partially paralyzed on one side of his body and has aphasia.

The duties include:

• Occasional household chores

• Support with manual transfers

• Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing

• Exercise

The client uses a shower chair, electric wheelchair, manual wheelchair, and a catheter.

In working with our client, you will spend a lot of time outdoors walking and participating in exercise. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you enjoy walking and can be encouraging and supportive during exercise sessions.

As a personal assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our client in his daily life, and your engagement will contribute to him being able to continue living as independent and active a life as possible.

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, flexible, and has a genuine desire to provide the highest possible support to improve the client's quality of life.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working as a personal assistant or in a similar profession

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with stroke or aphasia

Employment level: 1 permanent part-time position

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
