About the administration

We are here for people. We offer various types of support to children, young people, families, and adults who in some way need our interventions. We provide people with the support they need so that they can then move forward on their own to work, studies, or otherwise get help to develop. We take care of our elderly when they need support in their daily lives. We are one of the few municipalities in Sweden that has a consolidated social services department. This means that official authority as well as treatment and support measures are located in the same administration. We see this as a tremendous strength. We create value for our citizens and contribute to a good and dignified life – for everyone, regardless of circumstances. We place great emphasis on early interventions and preventive work, professionally and individually adapted support. We are a learning workplace – we make each other better through our quality work focused on those we serve. We are the Social and Care Administration – part of Hudiksvall Municipality.

About Hudiksvall Municipality

In the middle of Sweden, by the beautiful Hälsingland coast, lies Hudiksvall Municipality – or perhaps better known as Glada Hudik. Here live 37,600 happy Hudik residents, and more than half of us live in the countryside.

In Hudiksvall Municipality, distances are short to most things you want to do and need, and you have time left over for what is important in life. Here you are close to contrasting environments, an active association life, and a business community with great drive – many world-leading companies have their headquarters in our municipality.

Hudiksvall Municipality is the largest employer in the municipality. Together we are 3,800 employees, within 300 different professions, who work every day to create value for those we serve – our citizens. This is a large and important mission that should be permeated by security, openness, participation, and equality. In this way, we help each other build a society where all people are of equal value.
