About the workplace

We are currently looking for you who want to join our adult team, as one of our colleagues is retiring. We work with authority matters concerning harmful substance use and addiction, social psychiatry, and domestic violence. We are an engaged team with good collaboration and a focus on development, and we hope you feel the same.

As Haparanda is a border city, knowledge of Finnish is an asset, but not a requirement.

Your responsibilities

• Investigation and case processing according to SoL (Social Services Act) and LVM (Care of Abusers of Intoxicants Act)
• Assessment, decision-making, and follow-up of interventions
• Work with interventions such as outpatient care, institutional care, short-term placement, contact person, and adult support
• Collaboration with psychiatry, addiction care, healthcare providers, and other authorities
• Documentation according to current legislation

The work is performed both independently and in a team.

Your qualifications

Requirements

• Degree in Social Work (Social Worker) or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Good knowledge of legislation and case processing requirements
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Strong administrative skills and good computer literacy
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Extract from the police's criminal record register

Merits

• Experience with authority matters within social work
• Experience in the adult area (SoL, LVM)
• Experience working with harmful substance use and addiction
• Knowledge of Finnish
• Experience with Pulsen Combine
• Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing) and ASI (Addiction Severity Index)
