Family Pedagogue for Essunga Municipality

Description

As a family pedagogue, you work closely with children, young people, and their guardians. You are an important part of our open care team and contribute with support, guidance, and relationship-building efforts. The work is preventive and promoting, with a focus on early interventions and collaboration. Collaboration occurs regularly with the school through SAMBU and, from the spring term of 2026, through our newly established school social team. We also have a close cooperation with the Family Centre. At the unit, we meet and support residents who are affected by or perpetrate violence in close relationships. In this role, you will also lead parent education courses, both individually and in groups.

You will:

• Treat every individual with respect, warmth, and sensitivity.
• Create and maintain good relationships based on trust and cooperation.
• Work in close dialogue with families, schools, and other actors.
• Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment for children and young people.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in social work, pedagogy, or similar.
• Has worked with the target group for a longer period and has developed confidence in meeting people with different backgrounds and needs.
• Has a genuine interest in people and a professional approach.
• Understands the importance of creating good relationships and that treatment is crucial.
• Is communicative, sensitive, and confident in meeting people in different life situations.
